Shared and environmentally just responsibility for global biodiversity loss

چکیده

Human land use is the main driver of terrestrial biodiversity loss. It has been argued that producers and consumers have a shared responsibility for loss because this directly indirectly driven by local global demand products. Such sharing would be an important step cooperation conservation. Here, we multiregional input-output framework to estimate consumption-based loss, integrating with both physical Food Agriculture Biomass Input-Output (FABIO) dataset monetary table (EXIOBASE). We environmental justice assigning between consumers. In framework, employ Development Index (HDI) as proxy weighting parameter An perspective may provide fairer distribution in world where different nations very capabilities see varying benefits from international trade. Habitat conversion and global avian biodiversity loss.

The magnitude of the impacts of human activities on global biodiversity has been documented at several organizational levels. However, although there have been numerous studies of the effects of local-scale changes in land use (e.g. logging) on the abundance of groups of organisms, broader continental or global-scale analyses addressing the same basic issues remain largely wanting. None the les...

Invasive predators and global biodiversity loss.

Invasive species threaten biodiversity globally, and invasive mammalian predators are particularly damaging, having contributed to considerable species decline and extinction. We provide a global metaanalysis of these impacts and reveal their full extent. Invasive predators are implicated in 87 bird, 45 mammal, and 10 reptile species extinctions-58% of these groups' contemporary extinctions wor...

Global Poverty and Moral Responsibility

Global poverty is one of the most important challenges encountering human beings. Thousands of people die every day and 18 million people die every year as a result of poverty and its problems. The main question in this regard is whether the rich have a moral responsibility for poverty or not. Taking advantage of descriptive-analytical methods, this article examines the views of Peter Singer, J...

Global biodiversity loss from tropical deforestation.

Tropical forests are incredibly biodiverse; they support at least two-thirds of the world’s biodiversity (1) despite covering less than 10% of Earth’s land surface (2). Unfortunately, prospects for tropical forests and the biodiversity therein are becoming increasingly bleak owing to unabated deforestation and forest alteration (3) that stem from human activities such as logging, hunting, agric...
